As winter turns Calgary and the mountains into a winter wonderland, we’re stoked to have our little beach oasis on 17th ave. In the summer, on average Canadian consume 30% more fruits and vegetables. When it’s hot out, we crave water rich fruits; when it’s cold we crave calorie-loaded comfort foods. (Not the best for a surf babe belly).
At Studio Revolution we believe that healthy greens can be nutritious comfort foods. Especially when blended in a sweet electrolyte rich smoothie. Our Surf inspired green smoothie, even has a little heat. We’ve added ginger, a natural immune booster, to give this smoothie a surf friendly kick.
Green Ginger Surf Smoothie
- 1 can coconut water
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 1 cup kale
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger (sliced or crushed)
- 1 scoop of your favourite protein powder
- Wash and chop your veggies.
