Winter is coming to YYC! At Studio Revolution life’s a beach. This winter as the lakes around the city freeze up, we will be swapping the paddleboard for fun on the slopes. A day on the slopes is a total lower body workout. At Studio Revolution we believe in functional fitness. That’s why we’re launching the 14-day SHRED IT Challenge.
Skiing and snowboarding are anaerobic exercises. On the mountain, when you’re shredding hard, you elevate your heart rate, you hold isometric contractions, and you allow your body to recover while you ride the chair back to the top.
Be ready for shred season; get your legs in ripped shape, (so you can rip longer and harder come opening day).
Our Shred It ski/snowboard dryland cross training challenge will start October 13th and will run until October 27th. During the challenge we will be rewarding Shred Points for each style of class you attend. Get a 1 month unlimited pass and attend a minimum of each of the following classes each week and earn a point per class:
– 1 Surf Salutations
– 1 Surf n’ Sweat
– 1 Ripped Tide or TRX
– 1 Build It and Burn It
FOR BONUS POINTS: Attend two Surf Salutations classes per week and earn 2 points.
The shredders with the most ski or snowboard points will be entered to win a draw for 2 Sunshine Village/Marmot cards to go rip it up!
